Checksum error after bin edit

Post by kixfan » Tue Oct 06, 2009 7:48 am

I have used MODBIN,MODBIN6,awdbedit, ect only to find a brick wall with bios bin file editing. No matter what, if i modify a bin file, i get a checksum error trying to flash my bios. or even trying to load the modified bin file into winflash. also tried using a checksum utility wih no luck. im going to try loading the OEM bin file into winflash and read the checksum and somehow change the modified bin files checksum to match. i wish there was a way to get around this checksum thing.

ok, i think i found the checksum error thing. opening it up in MODBIN6 and saving it seems to work.
