I need to update bios on my m810lr (62-0913-001131-00101111-071595-SYS730S-M810LR); I have worked out that it is a v7.1a and have down loaded what I believe to be the correct bios (030103s)... so far so good but alas I go to do the flash and the utility gives me an "error 9" saying old bios is M810LR and new is M810! Hummh!

Can anybody advise here, is this a querk to be ignored? :?

Many thanks.

Try the release there. IIRC, the new BIOS releases have an auto-LAN-detect scheme, so probably the new M810 LAN and non-LAN BIOSes are identical.

All M810 except the special verions with USB 2.0(810DLU) or with Onboard CPU (Rev 7.1c/9.0m) use the same Bios - at least with this latest release

All M810 Bios files listet on this page http://www.pcchips.com.tw/bios/bios.asp?module_id=4 link-up to the FTP-folder AJZ posted

So the bios should be correct - Pcchips seems to use only M810 with this Bios

What I feared happened.

I flashed with the 030103S rom ignoring that it said M810 as opposed to M810L; the flash ran OK and the board seems to function OK but it does not recognise the LAN anymore! I have double checked the PCChips site and it definitely says 030103S for V7.1a on both the M810 and M810L boards.

Help, help please what rom should I be using to get my LAN back? :(

Much appreciate any advice here

Yes, at least I assume that a full power-on from cold will do the job of clearing.

Clear CMOS per jumper and load optimal/Performance Setting in Bios
Make sure LAN is enabled in Bios !
