If I wanted to flash the boot block as well as the rest of the bios on a board whose regular flasher program did not flash the boot -block, would using a different flasher like Uniflash allow me to do that?

If the bootblock is not protected by hardware, UniFlash allows you to flash it (using the "Flash BIOS image INCLUDING bootblock" option in Advanced submenu).

Will Uniflash let me copy the bootblock from one bios chip so that I could hot swap and flash it and a new bios to another chip?

There are options to save bootblock to file and flash bootblock.

Thanks, Rainbow, and especially for the work you've done in maintaining and enhancing Uniflash. Haven't used it yet, but it appears to be a great tool for someone like me who fools around with older boards.
