How to backup my existing BIOS to a floppy image?

I have a Gateway PC with an Intel Monterrey motherboard, from 2001. I have begun to have boot-up problems that I think indicate a bad motherboard.

So, I've gotten an exact replacement motherboard, but when I put it in the PC, it seems completely dead. I ran across some indication that it may need the BIOS to be flashed from a floppy image.

I have downloaded a BIOS update file that Gateway lists for this motherboard. However, I'd like to have the option of instead flashing the new board with the BIOS from my still-working PC.

==> SO - I want to make a flashable floppy image of my current BIOS.

Does anyone know how this could be done?

You might try and use uniflash:

But if the new board appears completely dead, you need to use the recovery flash method first which only works with a floppy from Gateway. You could try and flash your original bios on the new board afterwards when it starts working enough to do a normal flash operation.
