I have three computers that I need to update: One with an HP AMI BIOS, revision 5.09; another with a DELL BIOS, revision A12, and a final one with a DELL BIOS, revision A23. Is there any software out there that could copy all of the data out of my BIOS and into some external storage?
NOTE: I have used many of the available backup softwares (FPT DOS, Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0 {This didn't actually give me any usable data}, AFUWIN, and WINFLASH Secure). None of the above have worked.
I need working BIOS backup software

I think screenshots of the various bios screens will be the only sure way to backup all the settings. Maybe there is enterprise grade stuff for the Dell bioses. If you are just wanting to store the old versions, check the website for download links to them so you can flash them back.

Are you looking for a tool to backup the bios or just the bios settings?
if it's just the bios, I wouldn't bother as dell does a really good job of keeping all their bios versions online and hp does a decent job too. All you would need to do is find out what version you currently have and download it as a backup.
