Dear Gurus, Need expert advice. Objective - to hot flash a used chip to upgrade an award bios mobo (Aladdin). Dear Gurus, Cannot figure this one out. Have successfully hot flashed bios with UNIFLASH. Bios seemed to work ok but when the saved file of the flashed bios is compared to the source the checksum is different? The flashing included the overwriting of the bootblock of course! 1st report/ Tried to flash the ASD AE29F1008-15 using UNIFLASH 1.29. I did a A>uniflash -e xxxxxxxx.rom without using the -force command it to see what would be the result. Hi! I am a newbie learning how to hot flash bios chips. Have just successfully hot flash an updated bios for my PCCHIPS M520 (VX) using UNIFLASH leaving the original as backup.
