P4VXASD2 V3.3 CPU speed limit

I've bought recently a P4VXASD2 V3.3 from EliteGroup and I've been trying it with some CPUs. A 1,5 Ghz P4 was fine, but it failed with both a 2,4 Ghz 400 Mhz FSB Celeron and a 2,4 Ghz 533 Mhz FSB P4.

As usual, the manufacturer site doesn't offer any help about this, but I've seen on some distributor's what this board is rated at 2,2 Ghz CPU maximum speed.

The question is:
1) Is this a chipset (VIA P4M266A + VT8233) limitation?
2) In case the answer to 1) is affirmative, is there any bios patch/update to circumvent this?

After some reserach, I've found out the problem lies on the CPU microcode, so I need to patch the mobo's BIOS (AMI) to add the microcode for CPUID 0F29.

How can I do this?
