Is there a PHOENIX Graphic BIOS Format?
How can I edit/change this format? is it similar to EPA format?
For example (extracted from .bin)
NECORNERbmp..PG
4E 45 43 4F 52 4E 45 52 62 6D 70 00 00 00 00 50 47 00 01
N E C O R N E R B M P P G
All the BMPs inside the bin start with the string 'PG' (maybe phoenix graphic?)
Could somebody help me?

You could be starting a whole new craze if you can crack this!
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.

Yeah, some guy keeps plugging that site here. Problem is, his host sucks and his site is unreachable.sulbert wrote:Do you know this tool?

Never tried it myself, just accidentally found it...
Flash your BIOS at your own risk.
It works for me. Slow as hell but works

Patched and tested BIOSes are at http://wims.rainbow-software.org

I compiled the source and put it here:

The source is on that page as well, maybe it's faster from this page than from the original russian page...

There is a legitimately available BEDemo utility from Phoenix which although does not save any edits, effectively provides the wherewithal to modify the Phoenix BIOS if one so chooses. All the utilities one needs are included within DEDemo:
(i) decompressing the BIOS file (use BEDemo)
- the uncompressed files will be found in sub-directory :\TEMP
(ii) to compress the files back (use PREPARE.EXE)
(iii) to create a unified BIOS file with the correct CRC checksum
(use CATENATE.EXE)
The only minor inconvenience is the absence of a HEX editor. This can be acquired over the internet as Freeware / Shareware .
I was just surprised to learn that there were quite a number of people out there who wanted to modify their Phoenix BIOS's i.e. import new CPU microcodes for instance, but didn't know how to.
I have posted at URL:
http://www.wimsbios.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2294
with details on how I modified the Phoenix BIOS of my motherboard i.e injected 3 Tualatin based microcodes (06B0, 06B1 and 06B4), modified the BIOS dates and BIOS revision numbers, and modified the details of my motherboard within the BIOS.
