Just a thought, while sometimes there is only so much to discuss about a bios until we need to, would it be possible to have a general chat or even limit to computers in general ? Discuss computers, OS's, etc...? It would keep to technical but still allow some off the bios communication, If there is...

Hi all,

I was told that an HPpavilion 512 w I have can be upgraded bios wise to allow USB 2.0 which I don't have. Just USB1. Is there some truth to this or no? I haven't seen anything on this as of yet and searched my fingers off.

the 128MB stick is high-density, the i430VX chipset can only address 1/4 of it. we may be able to patch the bios so it sees the 120GB harddisk for what it is but as cp points out, that would be for cosmetics only.
