Hi all,
I was told that an HPpavilion 512 w I have can be upgraded bios wise to allow USB 2.0 which I don't have. Just USB1. Is there some truth to this or no? I haven't seen anything on this as of yet and searched my fingers off.
Thanks
Paul

Not true.
You need to purchase additional hardware for this.
Thanks.

Ok, that's what I figured. Would you know what additional hardware is needed?KachiWachi wrote:Not true.

You need to purchase an add-in USB card of course!
Thanks.

That's what I was afraid of. This stupid machine won't take the USB card, only two slots of PCI are usable. *Du-oh!* Well, the cards are cheap enough, maybe if I go with my onboard lan and take out the nic card I can accomplish this, although, not sure if worth it. This PC was hit by lighting which is how I ended up with it. Oh what the heck, I'll get one
If for nothing else, that annoying "this can perform faster" .... As if you can do anything about it when you plug something in...
Well, thanks again for the help, I'll post back when I get one.
Cheers,
Paul
BTW edwin, thanks for the link and love the SIG!
