Another chance is crossflash to an Award Bios
We already have a patched Award Bios for this board using an OEM-Bios from Vobis/Maxdata

AFAIK the only OEM mainboards by MSI are the ones who are not listed by MSI official mainboards on their website
All others have only a customized Bios with some(or a lot) options left hidden

hi,
with vobis oem (award) the system hangs up, while attempting hdd parameters.
i can start the pc, the harddrive will be found. formatting the drive (40GB) will take about 7 h !!! but at least, it works (i wonder)
any idea accessing drive parameters ?

Seen that before... might be a UDMA issue. Try downgrading your HDD to UDMA33 with the appropriate utility from your HDD manufacturer, and then try formatting it again. It should take a lot less time now.

Please post your Bios-ID including the Bios OEM message like W6140V2 1.3 ... or similar .
What's the hardware revision of your board ?
-> Look at your board - there should be MS-6140 Ver:1 printed onto the board
