Hi!

I have an old computer with MSI board 6151.
I am using this BIOS version:
ftp://ftp.maxdata.de/MAXDATA_Computers/ ... B12D51.EXE

But this version can only handle drives up to 32 GB.
So it would be nice to have a patch.

I need a capacity of 40 GB, the exact model of my hard disk is WD400BB-00DEA0.

The BIOS id string is:
07/01/1999-i440BX-W977-2A69KM4FC-00

And the BIOS version displayed is:
VMP 1.0B12d * MSI MS-6151

It would be very nice of you if you could help me in this situation!
Thank you very much!

Bye!

Looking at it now...3 versions of the BIOS, .IDE, .SCS and .LZS. Any idea why ?

I have taken the IDE version because I have a IDE system.
I only need this part of the BIOS.

So I thank you for your work!

Hi!

I also have this mainboard MSI MS-6151 and I would like to use a new harddrive (60GB Maxtor) but unfortunately this mainboard supports only up to 32GB (with the current BIOS).

The BIOS ID of my board is:
07/01/1999-i440BX-W977-2A69KM4FC-00

From reading the previous post it seems there is a possibility to patch the BIOS to support larger disks.
It would be great if you could help me!
Thanks in advance!
