40GB: PCCHIPS M559

Hi!

Anyone so kind as to patch the PCCHIPS M559 BIOS for 40GB hard disk.

I have flashed my mobo with this BIOS, but still no big hard drive support.

The BIOS can be found at:

ftp://ftp.pcchips.com/BIOS/M559/990225-65.ROM

This BIOS is for the mobo with the Holtek I/O chip.

No support using HDD Autodetection? Have you tried entering the HDD parameters manually?

Hola ajz

When trying autodetect in BIOS setup it just hangs. If I select Auto as parameters it seems to recognize the HD when it boots. Is that OK? Will it work reliably that way?

Run FDISK - if it recognizes 40GB (will show about 38GB), it should be OK.
