hey guys i've got an ancient ATC-6130E motherboard running on a 415MHz PII...
my problem is that i can't get my 40Gb to work to full capacity (right now i got it with the 'Limited to 32Gb' Jumper)
now before anyone jumps down my throat, i HAVE flashed my bios with one of your updated bios but it seems that that still had no effect as I today i tried to stick in one of my mate's 80GB drive and once again, i found that i had to limit the thing down to a measly 32GB again...
here is my bios stats as obtained with the BIOS Agent program:
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 09/29/98-i440EX-W977-ATC-6130C
OEM Sign-On: ATC-6130E VER:1.0 04 GS
Chipset: Intel 440EX/LX rev 3
ummm well right now i'm wondering if the real problem lies with my Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG... is there a difference between the two? ie, the bios that i got from you guys and the Award Modular Bios.
bare with me if any of these questions sound stupid but yeh... I've never really messed around with my BIOS since I heard the motherboard dies if you flash it with the wrong BIOS... :S
40 + 80 GB: 09/29/98-i440EX-W977-ATC-6130C (ATC-6130E)
uhh.. actualy don't worry... i fixed it... =__+ i realised that the version of the bios i using was an older version of the one you guys have now >< so yeh... sorry and thanks again to everyone, ajchips, it works now
