Jumpersettings for FSB on MSI MS-6119 DIP
Hi again! No, I still didn't solve my prob on the MS-6701 but here's my next challenge. I still have one of those old 440BX goodies running almost perfect and reliable, but it looks as if it was time to spend it a new CPU. I've been thinking of either an Intel Pentium III-S 1400 or an Intel Celeron ...

flasher is CaSe SeNsItIvE. Do a dir ch*.rom and check if it is in ALL CAPS. If so, use CHB1129.ROM in the aminf333 line. Are you sure? I doubt that the flasher is case sensitive in an DOS environment. I'm surprised Denniss didn't mention the format bug under XP with (very) early versions of the K7S...

Anybody got ModBin6 1.00.53 yet?
If there's no typo in this table it should be somewhere, out there.
BTW, nice table for all dealing with ECS boards

Re: GA-6VXE7+ DEAD???
I have done a bios update on the above mentioned mobo, but my pc will not boot. when powered up, there is 2 or 3 short beeps followed by a long one. After that nothing happens. Make sure what exactly the beep code is and look it up , maybe it's something about your display adapter. I have heard fro...

 Ups, ja sorry dor that. Rainbow is right, this 32GB was a limitation in Win2000. So, hopefully, he is also right with the idea of resetting the CMOS to default. But I remember I had some probs to with a partition size larger than 2GB on my 440BX mobo when I tried the first installation...

Did you try partiioning the Harddisk with fdisk NOT as just one partition?
Think drivesize is limited on FAT32 partitions to 32GB in Win98. (look at M$).
So just try it with a smaller partition first and check if it works.
Success,
Manfred

Uniflash reports boot block problem with patched BIOS I then used MODBIN 4.50.80C to make a minor change to the startup string and updated the file. Now CBROM showed only one (BIOS) module in NEWBIOS.BIN. Is this the missing link? Just looks like! CBROM V2.15 (C)Award Software 2001 All Rights Reser...
