i recently rebuilt my computer, but before i could install the main board my young son took the cell batterey out. i replaced it and now when the computers turned on all you get is a beeping sound and nothing else. the bios doesnt load and the screen stays black. can someone help me please :) ?.

try clearing the cmos (there's a jumper)

check your ram, your vga and your cpu. those beepcodes indicate an error and those are the most common errors that occur. could be something different anyhow. for further help please post the beep sequence and your bios manufacturer.

the baord is a Gigabyte 2A69JGOFC-00 with a intel 440LX/EX chipset as i said the cell battery was removed then replaced since then all u get is a continuos beeping and the computer does not start up. the monitor stays black, and the o/p system dont start? any help would be appreciated thanking all.

battery upside down in the socker maybe? The + side goes up, this is with the visible rim down.
