I have a V266B jetway motherboard. After flashing my bios incorrectly, my computer now says:

Award Bootblock v1.0

BIOS ROM checksum error

INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

Basically, i can only boot into the dos prompt from a floppy. I've tried re-flashing with awdflash and (what i think is) my latest bios driver, V266BA10.bin from the jetway site, www.jetway.com.tw

That doesn't work! I still get the same error message. I've tried leaving my motherboard battery out all night but that makes no difference either. What can I do? Should I use a different flash program?

You've checked the FAQ and the Collected Wisdom forum, so you're booting with a clean DOS floppy, and you're flashing with the AUTOEXEC.BAT, right?

Yes. I tried using uniflash aswell but that doesn't work. Apparently my bios is write protected, but I can't change that in the bios because I can't get into it. I can't find anywhere on my motherboard a jumper or anything that I can disable write protect. I also can't remove my flash rom chip.

Hm, maybe there's a force switch in Uniflash. I'll edit the title for Rainbow.
