bootblock and floppy..

hello guyz, after a bad flash of my asus A7N8X-X, the award bootblock has been activated.. normaly, we can boot on a floppy thanx to that bootblock but here s my problem : my floppy is ok but it doesnt boot on it. It s wrote that it s still "Detecting floppy drive A media" ..
I tryed to boot on a win98 floppy to test the award, but nothing happen.

Is my bootblock dead ? may i have to buy a new bios ? :///

I have the same problem! Refer to my thread "Award boot block BIOS beep code: video error?" in the General section.

Sounds like your bootblock is either corrupt or wrong for the board if you were previously able to use it. Does your board have a socketed BIOS chip ? If so your options appear to be
- replacement BIOS chip, or
- removal and reflash of the existing chip, either by your local electronics shop or by "hot-swap" flashing in another board (see FAQs #9 and #20 on the main www.wimsbios.com site)
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.
