"No keyboard or keyboard error.." comm. when I started my comp.
It is ATC-5000 with Pentium 166 MMX...
Is it enable to work after such message..?
Only I can do is turn off comp.
Of course, I have connected keyboard!
I checked - there is no voltage on the "pin" VCC at the DIN keyboard socket... And no voltage at "mouse" pin at the mainboard too...
How to change CMOS setup (enter BIOS at all) if I have "no keyboard.."
and comp doesn't go on far...?
Is my mainboard only for museum or not???
I have found a small, green piece (a fuse, I think) signed "F1" on board, next to keyboard connector. I checked it with Volt/Amper/Ohmometer -
looks like bad fuse!
I will try to make a "bridge" over the fuse... If mainboard will not be able to work - I will use its BIOSchip (AT29C010(A)) for another board with non-flashable chip...
Thank You All for help! B-)
I have put a new fuse onto "F1" (the old, bad fuse) on the mainboard, checked with ohmometer and there is "a pass" throught the fuse.
I used a 2,50A fuse (original on mainboard was 3A...), then I started my comp with this board - and it works!
P.S. Last saturday I've found in the groccery shop many chips... named: AT29C010 "Atmel" B-)))). The price - ~4$. Now I go flashing them for all my old mainboards (max. 128K BIOSchips only...).
