I have a computer which had a massive power surge. I am wondering if the pentium 4 processor will still work. So my main question is does a processor still work after a power surge that blew the whole motherboard? :?

Even if bad PSU fries everything in the machine, the CPU and memory usually survive because they're not powered directly by the PSU but by a voltage regulator on the board.
