Hi.

I was modifying bios using CBROM207.exe to add an image at the beginning :D , and also trying to hide the listing of devices pci :? , using MODBIN v4.50.77. everything seemed to be well, but when I flashed the bios with awdflash or aflash nonmemory as of both, in half of the process appeared an error related to the control of the writing of the bios 8O
after that, when initiating motherboard is listened to a high and low tone consecutive of the loudspeakers and I do not see activity in the floppy disk

this motherboard is one asus k7v, has award bios I believe that of version 6., I have another one motherboard, one shuttle AK31a and I want to use uniflash to repair the bios of asus.

it would be thankful if somebody explained the procedure to me, if there are other alternatives, you will say.

I have known that exist external devices Flash ROM programming, could recommend some to me, and where to buy it by Internet.

Thanks to all.

hello.
I use the hot-flash method with other identical motherboard
everything works well, but the only application that worked was aflash.
I tried with awdflash and uniflash, I think that it must be a problem of compatibility of the bios

still I have other consultations

where I can buy (using Internet) an External device for bios flash, different from the adaptation done in a card ISA mentioned in another one post.

and

Exists another application or method different from modbin for disable (hide) pci configuration display.
of course everything referred to the award bios

Thanks.

Google search. Without looking very hard,
http://progshop.com/shop/programmer/index.shtml The Batronix looks interesting at $69 for the kit. You can get the schematic info and make your own, see http://batronix.com/electronic/circuits ... outs.shtml or http://www.willem.org
Or there's an E-Promer 5 on ebay right now.

I don't think so.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.
