Hi!
Suddenly, my HP Omnibook XE4100 thinks that it has a bigger LCD-display attached. So only an area of about 5cm width is shown. Somehow the information about the internal display got corrupted. On the diskette with the BIOS update utility I found a program (BU.EXE) which can read out the internal EEPROM. The program states that a 1400x1050 display is connected, but the display has a resolution of 1024x768. I found a tool (STPNLDT.EXE) to repair this problem on an Omnibook 6000, but it doesn't work on my notebook ("wrong platform").
Can anybody please help me? HP didn't want to help me....
