Is it possible to reflash a corrupted AMI bios using a USB? by simply putting the new AMIBIOS.ROM onto a formatted USB disk? and holding cntrl+home
Or do i need to go and get myself a external floppy drive?
Thanks in advance?

Hi,
I have the same problem, am trying to re-flash my corrupt bios. I have been trying to work with USB for past couple of days to no avail. Now considering getting myself a external USB floppy drive but am skeptical will it work, as I have read at few places that I would need to use an on-board floppy controller. I would be obliged if you could share some of your experience with me.
my queries are:
1. Did you manage to flash your bios, and got your notebook working?
2. Did you use external floppy drive or USB?
Thanks in advance.

Any chance of borrowing an external floppy drive somewhere? Or buy one, use to flash and flog it on ebay afterwards?
