Amibios problem
This answer solved the same problem for me. I was used to Award flashers and Uniflash, where you first type the filename of the flasher and once that program is opened, you will be prompted for the bios filename to flash.
Typing both in one DOS command as you indicated resulted in a successful flash. This AMI flasher is a little scary. You only get lines in DOS, and very little in the way of confirmations. It did report that the motherboard name in the old and new bios matched and then asked for another "enter" to proceed, but the only way I knew that the flashing was done was an automatic reboot and the old "Cmos checksum error" msg.
Aminf.342 and the same motherboard as the OP, but in the PC Chips M817LMR version. Yes, I know, PC Chips..............
