My USB ports do not work. I have tried everything except the bios update.

please download, run the bios agent and post the report here.

the non-working usb ports are not very likely a problem that derives from the bios. which OS are you using. what is the problem? which usb ports are affected?

can even be hardware. i have a board with bad capacitors, effects are a non-functioning PCI-e slot and any mass storage device on USB goes haywire (shows up but openening renders an error message about an I/O error).
