If you are booting from a diskette to carry out this flash, tell us what files are on your diskette and what command line you are using.

The 020626.exe and 011215.exe are the bios files but compressed - decompress them first to get the .rom files you need to flash .
From a bootable floppy please type Aminf329 020626.rom .
Please use a clean DOS or Win9x startup disk with only system files flashprog and Biosfiles onto it !

I am booting with just system files and amiflash 332 and bios programme but when flashing the ami flash shows up but not the bios file?

The ami flash i just copy to floppy, i extract the bios file to floppy choosing the file without Lan, then key in A:\>aminf332 020626.rom

I get that error code, i wonder if i am using the right bios update? Iwent to the ecs bios page and dl the latest bios which was at the top of the page i assume this is the bios incorporating all the other updates, i am not sure?

mobo k7s5a v3.1 old bios date 15.12.2001

Hope you can help,

Denniss, i tried that but here's the general response i'm getting:

Command Com 93,890
K7s5a0~1 <DIR>
Aminf332 EXE 529,908
2 File(s) 623,798 bytes
1dir(s) 278,016 bytes free.

It seems that the flash programme is not opening :?:

Thanks.

Copy the .ROM or .BIN file out of the K7s5a0~1 directory and into the root directory and try again.

At the A:\> prompt type DIR K7s5a0~1
that should show you a file ending in .BIN or .ROM or something.
Then type COPY K7s5a0~1\filename.rom.
That will copy it to the root directory (the top level directory).

Why not copy these files from Windows ?
Move all files you need to the A:\ Root directory (flashprog and biosfile ) and remove the folder with files not needed .

Thanks Gentlemen, success!

In the Winzip/Extract window i unchecked the "Use Folder names" box and reformat A:\ and used aminf333 Flash and the files showed up.

Guess the Winzip change did it.

Thanks for your help............... :D
