I have been unsuccesful using the afudos, aflash, amiflash & uniflash.
Afudos complains about:
"rom file boot block is not valid"

aflash complains about not finding the system bios hook (as im running a gw bios)

amiflash goes through all the steps of the flash process but when I reboot im still running the same version of the bios?!?!
version 7.10 was the rev thats included with the latest image for this mobo from gateway.

uniflash wont recognize the flash rom chip, I have to use the -force switch which is wierd as the mobo uses a mosel v29c51004 (I got that from amiflash 7.10) which is supported by uniflash. I have tried forcing type 4003 & 40a3 & both times the flash has failed on verification, but the restore from backup has been succesful.

the only thing I can put the detection problem to is that uniflash doesnt support serverworks chipsets (is that right?)

anyone got any pointers?

What chipset type does UniFlash show?

I mean the chipset type, not flash ROM type. You can also post the uniflash.log file created by running "uniflash -log".
