I need a new Bios...

this is the one i have right now...
is there any new version of thos BIOS???

if so give me the adress link... quick!! ;)

The problem that i have.. is that i boght a new HD (40gb).. i dont think my bios could handel that.. becous my PC is like 3-4yrs old....

Find out for yourself :)

You have a Gigabyte board (http://www.gigabyte.com.tw) and its model number is printed on the mobo itself (usually in white).

ye a know that i have a gigabyte mobo....
but exactully were on the mobo do i finde the white text?

Just look for it. It usually starts with "GA-(something)". It's usually big enough and easy to spot, typically between the PCI/ISA slots.

what would i do after i downloaded the files from gigabyte.com......

GA 686B X

i downloaded these two files

flash848 and 6BX.F2a....

are these two files upgrading my bios??
