Hi!
I have a PIII 600B/133 with a i440BX motherboard, award bios (see below bios data) and i'm trying to use a Kingston 512MB PC133 with 16 chips but I only get 256MB. I believe this is a well know problem that has to do with the motherboard(?) and/or the bios(?) not supporting high density memory chips. The question is: upgrading the bios may do any good?

Chipset limitation .
Max supported memory is 256MB per stick .
You need a 256 stick looking like your 512 but with 256MB .
Doublesided with 8 chips per side .
BTW you seem to have a MSI BX-Master mainboard
