Hello guys,

After formating the hard disk my bios does not see the CD-ROM. Which makes it imposible to install anything, including the OS.

I want to update the bios I have if it is going to help.

Could you please help me with that. How can I update the bios and where can I find it.

...and it's at your posted link, too.

He has the second of 4 BIOS releases, the latest being of 11/1998 (ss5i0208.zip). Geez.... only ASUS provides such recent BIOS updates for such oldies... nice!!! Beats the hell out of PCCHIPS :cry:

To point to the problem :
Have you used a Bootdisk with DOS CDROM drivers ?

Then you should be able to reinstall windows

Are you sure P55SP3AV = P55SP3C? Stupid truncated BIOS id... :?
