Thanks edwin for your speedy response ..

I downloaded and ran Flash Memory Writer V8.12.
Entered the filename W570MS15.BIN at the prompt, then the following message(s) were displayed:

Image file is NOT original BIOS
!!BIOS image file checksum not zero!!
Check to see if FDD & HDD error occurred
Avoid using file saved from M/B directly

Press any key to continue

Flash type displays - INTEL 28F001BX-T /12V

Do you want to save BIOS Y/N?

At this point I entered N as I wasnt too sure what the outcome from the previous messages would have been.

The message "The program file's part number does not match with your system" is displayed, the program exits to the DOS prompt.

Any further suggestions as to what to do next?

Thanks

The message "The program file's part number does not match with your system" occurs because the BIOS ID in the system is 10/28/97-i430TX-2A59IM4CC-00 and the BIOS Edwin has sent you is 06/16/1998-i430TX-2A59IM4DC-00. That does not necessarily mean that the BIOS is wrong; sometimes the manufacturer changed more of the BIOS ID than they should.

I would use Uniflash.
