I recently flashed my Asus K7M (no built in audio, AMI Bios) with bios version KM132.bin, and now my Soundblaster Live will not work. The Soundblaster enable setting is under the onboard audio setting and cannot be changed without first enabling the onboard audio.
In the manual for the motherboard, it says that the default bios setting is with the onboard audio enabled. After selecting default settings, it still does not select the onboard audio option. How do you enable the onboard audio in the bios to change select Soundblaster enable on a motherboard without the onboard audio? It worked before??
I appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Paul T.

Soundblaster enable setting is a function for OnBoard Audio to simulate a Soundblaster card - has nothing to do with a Soundblaster Live

What's your problem with the Live ?
Have you cleared CMOS and loaded optimal or performance settings in Bios ?
Have you tried to move the live to a different PCI Slot ?
Recent AMD chipsetdrivers installed ?

VIA 4in1 installed without AGP-driver ? > 4in1 4.43 from www.viaarena.com

First off, thank you for your quick reply.
All I did was move it to another PCI slot and it worked! I'm really not a rookie, I just couldn't understand why the motherboard wouldn't recognize it in the slot where it had been all along.

Thanks Again,

Paul
