Hello!

On your page http://www.wimsbios.com/index.htm?/HTML1/compaq.html there is an "Wanted BIOS" request for Presario CDS 524. I have one on my table for 2-3 days. Please give me an idea which program should I use to make a copy for this BIOS and I will send it to you.

Best regards,
Paul

Hi Paul. Try Uniflash for saving it. I guess Wim (wb@wimsbios.com) or Soupy (soupy@wimsbios.com) will want it.
Thanks

Hi!

I've tried it - it doesn't work ("PCI Bus not found or not responding"). Seems that (again) Compaq has made his own receipe ;) The Presario CDS 524 is a compact computer, monitor and computer in the same case, and the motherboard is very heavy accesible, I have disassembled it to reach the BIOS-chip, but it was in vain, the marking is replaced by a Compaq paper label :(((...

Any other idea how to copy by software the BIOS? (Btw, it seems - but my knowledge in electronics is poor - that it is an I2C)
