Hi, I've a HDD of 80GB but my bios only supports drives with a maximum of 8GB.
I think my motherboard has the following ID: 6ABX2V
Can someone tell me what to do?

We need more info. First, your BIOS ID is incomplete I assume it is really 2A69KL1AC.
Second, what is the BIOS OEM message at the top left of the memory count screen under the Award logo, something like "#9KA6-03" ?

Hmm. Actually, that BIOS should support up to 32GiB. According to Google's cache of http://ftp.bspu.unibel.by/pub/HardWare/ ... /intel.htm it is for 6AZX2V version 1.2 motherboard and the later BIOS 9ka6-1.bin can be for 6P2BX, 6ABX2V or 6AZX2V.
The BIOS 9ka6-3-4 is listed only for 6AZX2V...but a previous thread suggests that for 6ABX2V, a good BIOS is version 9KA7-2 at http://www.studiobit.pl/ftp/BIOS/Lucky%20Star%206ABX2V/, or a9KA7-1 at t http://formoza-centre.narod.ru/mb.htm

Another question, I saw that there exists an 1MB and 2MB version of my motherboard, neither my supplier neither Lucky Star are responding to my question. Perhaps you can tell me how to determine which version I have (1MB or 2MB)?

If you have the 9ka5 BIOS, that is 1 Mbit. You can also check by:
- using the Award flasher to save your current BIOS. If 128Kbytes it is 1Mbit. If 256Kbytes it is 2 Mbit. This is easy if the motherboard is working.
- Peeling the label on the BIOS ROM. If it is 2xF010, 1Mbit. If 2xF020, 2Mbit.

I tried to flash it but when I do a backup of my current bios nothing happens.
I retried several times but no result. Finally I can only reboot my PC.
When I look on my bootdisk I see that the flasherprogram has created an empty file (0 bytes).
Whithout a succesfull backup I don't dare to upgrade my BIOS.
Perhaps someone have an idea.
