what bios do i need to make my 80gb harddrive to work.My computer stops when trying to detect. I have an award bios:M1415
Bios signon:12/13/1999-i440bx-w977ef-2a69kf09c-00
A FIC VB-601 motherboard.

The beta BIOS here: ftp://ftp.fica.com/BIOS/motherboards/slot1/VB601/
...seems to solve your problem.
(read the BETA.TXT file).
