Hi:

Downloaded a BIOS update for the AWARD BIOS v4.51pg, from
www.driverguide.com

Copied flash program awdflash.exe and mi415.bin to a floppy,
rebooted and ran the awdflash.exe It asked for a file name..I entered
mi415.bin A few seconds later, it asked for a second file name, for
saving. I entered mi415award.bin

After a scond reboot, I got a blank screen and a long beep, repeatedly.
Nothing on screen at all.

Is there a way to restore things as they were?

Email reply would be appreciated. My one and only system is "DEAD"

Thanks to anyone for assistance.

Respectfully,
J N Cameron

Hi:

The board is a Legend V...I went to www.qdigrp.com but couldn't find
the Legend V board listed. And its possible that QDI used different BIOS
on the same board. Any solution concerning running something from the
A: drive won't work...I have to get to the A: drive first.

Thanks for the reply...appreciate it.

Any other assistance appreciated. Email reply appreciated, also.
Thanks again...

Flash your BIOS at your own risk.

Why did you flash FIC BIOS for board with i440BX chipset to QDI board with i440LX chipset :?:
Looks like you have to hot-flash it. The bad thing is that many QDI boads have Flash ROM soldered to the board....

There's also BETA BIOS with support for HDDs up to 128GB:
