I was given an old OPUS pc which didn't quite work. I need to find out a bit about it so that I can attach loose cables etc.
Following the info on the wimbios page I found the Award info displayed on booting. It is 03/12/97-i430vx-ali5123-2a59ga1ec-2r which on decoding using the Wims lookup table gives me 2a59g = Intel Triton VX chipset (socket 7 based motherboard); and a1 = Abit motherboard.

Now I need to know the identity of the specific motherboard and get a manual. Any help would be appreciated.

SM5 SM5-A or IT5V are possible - seems they all use the 2R-Bios
Have a look at the board for a model number printed onto it
