Hi group
This is a strange one .
Board - A-trend ATC7460M
CPU :- VIA Technologies 600 MHz Socket 370
Memory :- 128 MB PC133 DRAM
Fault 1 :- No boot on CMOS clear
If you clear the CMOS the board will not get past 'Verifying DMA pool data'
The fix is to go into the CMOS and set the clock running ! Weird .
Fault 2 :- won't store settings .
It will not store settings reliably . The CMOS checksum error keeps coming up, about once every ten or so restarts.
Fault 3 :- USB failure
If you connect a new USB device, it recognises it OK . If you restart the computer with it connected (e.g. a 5 metre Lindy USB active extender) it won't POST until you disconnect the device . (almost like the CPU clock is stopping)
Anyone ?!
