I've searched most of websites about BIOS, and I still can't find the upgrade.

My configuration is:

BIOS Date: 01/28/99
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 01/28/1999-693-596-SMC-2A6LGX3EC-00
OEM Sign-On: ACORP 6VIA86 Ver:2A
Chipset: VIA 82C691 rev 6
Superio: SMC 60x rev 0 found at port 3F0h

There is no files for 6via86 version 2a in the internet.
I've checked a number on my motherboard (Acorp '6BX/VIA/ZX86'). On Acorp's site I've found only number of motherboard '6via86p'.
What should I do? Can you find this file? A name of this file should be: '6via862a.bin'. I'd be gtatefull.

You need version 2D from:
http://www.acorp.com.tw/Common/English/ ... I.asp#s370

10/15/1999-693-596-SMC-2A6LGX3EC-00
6VIA86 Ver: 2D

(previous versions were 2A, 2B and 2C).

BTW, our utility states "BIOS already supports HDDs over 32GB & 64GB"

I had problems with 2D (HDD auto detection crashed when UDMA support was enabled; IIRC 3.2GB Quantum Fireball and 41GB IBM Deathstar was used for testing).
Didn't find the 2C anywhere so I used a patched version of 2B:

not a healthy combination, not a bios problem ;)
