Please help. Need the correct "bin" file for a DFI machine wit Award BIOS v4.51PG.
Checked the motherboard maker (DFI) - but haven't been find a flash file.

The following is the output from BIOS Agent:

Program: Unicore BIOS Wizard Version 3.2
Program: eSupport.com BIOS Detect v1.1 June 4, 2003
BIOS Date: 10/30/98
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 10/30/1998-692-596-AD-2A6LGD42C-00
OEM Sign-On:
Chipset: VIA 82C691 rev 1
Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h
OS: Microsoft Windows 98 SE Version: 4.10.2222 A
CPU Type: Pentium II
CPU Speed: 350 Mhz
CPU Max: 500 Mhz
BIOS ROM In Socket: Yes
BIOS ROM Size: 256K
Memory Installed: 128 MB
Memory Maximum: 2048 MB
Memory Slot 01: 64 MB
Memory Slot 02: 0 MB
Memory Slot 03: 64 MB
Memory Slot 04: 0 MB
Memory Slot 05: 0 MB
Memory Slot 06: 0 MB
Memory Slot 07: 0 MB
Memory Slot 08: 0 MB

Checked in WimsBios page and found:

Chipset: 2A6LG = Via Apollo Pro Plus (692/596) Chipset
MotherBoard Manufacturer: D4 = DFI (Diamond Flower) (Crusader?)

What is the correct "bin" file and what flasher version should I use ?.
Where can I get the correct "bin" ?.

Thank you very much.

Regards.

Looks like PB50-V3, but all BIOSes from DFI are:
04/16/1999-693-596A-BD-2A6LGD4FC-00
or
06/23/1999-693-596A-BD-2A6LGD4FC-00
or
09/13/1999-693-596A-CD-2A6LGD4FC-00.
So most probably it's NOT that board.

DFI Board usualy are clearly marked with a model number usually between the PCI-SLots or near the CPU - please have a look

Might be a special OEM-Bios - Retail mainboard or purchased a complety assembled PC-System ?

The only label that I found in the Motherboard is

PB60-VB Rev.B1

I checked again in DFI but there is nothing close

Thanks again

Yes, that's it. If you need support for HDDs over 32GB, we can patch this BIOS.

Hi georgep, Thanks for the link for the patch.

Hi Rainbow. Yes, that is exactly what I need. I checked the notes on the patch but only fixes a problem for shutdown the machine.
I do not see support for bigger disks.
I got a Western Digital - Caviar - WD600 - 60 Gbytes that is not recognized by the BIOS.

Can you help me with that ?.

Thanks a lot.
