I have tried for sometime now to find an upgrade for my present BIOS without any success. The BIOS Wizard gives the following details:

BIOS Manufacturer : Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID : 05/25/1999-M585LMR-2A5LHH0CC-00
BIOS Date : 05/25/99
BIOS OEM Signon : Release 05/25/1999 S
BIOS ROM Size : 256K
Chipset : VIA 82C501 rev 2
Super I/O Chip : VIA 686 found at 0h:7h:0h

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank-you.

Thank you Rainbow, I've found the BIOS update just as you said. I have now updated my BIOS successfully.

Running BIOS Wizard again I've found that my old BIOS supported "ACPI Version : BIOS currently supports latest version 1.0". In the new BIOS "ACPI Version : ACPI is not found". Is this important? I don't think so as my computer is running fine now. But would like your opinion.

Thanks again. :D

The ACPI is disabled by default - if you want to use it, you need to enable "ACPI function" in Power Management Setup.
