Can anyone tell me if it is possible to upgrade my computer with a 80 GB HDD (as a 2nd drive). I have tried and it seems that the BIOS does not recognise the Disk and the computer has to be booted again.
The BIOS is an AWARD v4.51PG. The computer was bought in Sept. 99. The motherboard is a GA 6EMMP.
Is a BIOS update necessary ?
Where can I get it ?
Is there any danger that something goes wrong in updating the BIOS ?
Thank you

Please post your FULL Bios-ID !!

Try www.gigabyte.com.tw for a newer Bios but it's possible support ended before these big HDD appeared

Are you sure this ID is correct and not from a different PC ?
