DVD RW ????????

Hi im a about to purchase to pioneer 106 dvd burner but what i want to know is there anyway i can check that my mobo will be able to take it??
Is there somewhere in the control panel or somewhere that shows what hardware is compatiable with the mobo?
I bought the pc around 99 if thats any help

It's just another ATAPI device like normal CDROMs

Should work on all computers from 1995 on
