I believe you have the SOYO SY-6KF board.

You are three BIOS releases behind (latest is 2A9; you have 2A6).

Considering 2A9's release date, it won't support HDDs over 32GB. Please confirm this is truly your board (look for an SY-6KF inscription on your motherboard, or check the manual, or download the manual from the link above), and we'll patch the 2A9 version for you for large HDD support.

Bernado

Just noticed you specified 128MB maximum RAM. I would be quite surprised if the board does not take more than that. Do not know the brand of your board but I know someone using the Intel AL440LX board with 196MB RAM (A 128MB chip and I think a 64MB or two * 32MB) and I am confident this board would go up to at least 256MB. And this is using the BIOS revision at the time of purchase (so probably one of the early releases).

As long as you have a recent BIOS flash installed (which you are updating for HDD) and are careful with single and double sided memory module issues (you may require DS 128MB) I would think you would get past the 128MB mark.

Also, depending on your intended use of such a large disk (80GB+ on this board) I would recommend upgrading the memory to at least 128MB - I think anything less will bog the system down a bit.

Everything went out fine.
I have a second HD (maxtor-120GB ATA/133); formatted: 114GB FAT32.
Thank you!
