Hello there,
Cant get my 120 GB Maxtor Diamond Plus recognized in the Bios!
Do I need a bios update??

Heres the details:

Program: eSupport.com BIOS Agent Version 3.23
BIOS Date: 05/24/01
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
BIOS ID: 05/24/2001-8363-686A-6A6LMB09C
OEM Sign-On: VKB0524F
Chipset: VIA 82C305 rev 2
Superio: VIA 686 rev 33 found at port 7h
OS: Win2000
CPU: AMD Duron(TM) 600 Mhz MAX: 1000 Mhz

AWD 6.00PG should not have issues with 32/64GB Bugs as in older 4.51PG Bios .
Make sure :
- your HDD is running/spinning at all
- you use the 80-wire cables with blue end to mainboard and black end to master
- the HDD master/slave config jumpers are in correct position

I've seen Award 6.0 BIOS with 64GB bug - but it was dated 1999...so this is not that case.

Thanks for the help! Suddenly the harddisk started working again, Dont know why!? But it doesnt seem very stable... :cry: Thanks again....
