Hi.

I have this mobo, and ran out of HD space. So I bought a new 40GB Maxtor, but this bios (#401A0-0103v) won't recognize it at all. It just hangs. There is a new biosfile, 0109, that would do the trick, but I am not able to flash anything to that chip. I've tried awdflash.exe, aflash.exe, flash.exe, nothing works. Awdflash recognizes the chip, but aflash and flash don't. When I try to flash with awdflash.exe, it's warning me, that the "image file is not original bios" and after that on the same screen, "bios image file checksum not zero". I've tried with several bios images, and I know the files are the right ones.
Can I flash this thing at all??
The chip is Award, and there are markings... PCI PNP 586 and a serial number.

Please help me.

I'd buy you a big beer, if you were here.
