Please if someone can help, I own a Luckytech P6ZX2 i440ZX motherboard, and it cannot recognize any hard drive larger than 8 GB (I need a larger hard drive, 30 or 40 GB, if it can be supported).

BIOS ID string is:
11/19/1998-I440ZX-W977TF-2A69KSHAC-00

Since I cannot find update anywhere (Rainbow etc.), I've uploaded BIOS image file here:

http://solair.eunet.yu/~brunos/p6zx2_old.zip

If anyone can see if it could be patched (or patch it), I would be very grateful. It's 2Mbit (although manufacturer specs say it should be 1Mb).
If anybody succeeds, you can e-mail it to me, or upload it somewhere on the net, and I'll test it.

Thanks... Bruno.

Thank you for your quick reply!

I flashed the BIOS, and everything went smoothly. After that, motherboard recognized both hard drives which I've tested it with:

- Quantum Fireball AS, 40 GB, 7200 rpm
- Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8, 30 GB, 7200 rpm

I also already installed Windows XP on the Maxtor, and in works very well, and all other options in the BIOS stayed intact.

Thanks very much for your significant and very quick help! :D
