I have a mainboard :
ECS P5SD-B+ Ver 1.1k 03/11/1999
03/05/1999-vVP3-586B-W877-P5SD-9
But I can't use my 120G hitachi HD.
And I can't find bios from this site for 120G HD.
Does anyone know where to find the bios supported 120GB?
Or How I can do?

Certainly patchable...if it's not already been done it will be at the "untested" link in my signature in about 10 minutes.

Tested is known to work, untested is untested.

We can modify the bios, but we need the board to test it. As we usually don't own the board, we have to wait until someone (you?) pops up which is brave enough to install the Bios we have modified at his own risk.

That is what we are hoping, you are going to do

Usually, no.
IMHO I'd install the original unpatched version first, if not already done. If it works, I'd go for the patched.

I have tested this bios with Hitachi 120GB HDD.
But I can't enter the WINXP after I install the WINXP.
But, Everything is ok when installing.
And then it need to reboot to enter winxp.
I have had try 3 times, each time is the same, It can't enter WINXP.
The HDD is auto detection as you said.
and the partitions on HDD are partitioned by another computer that support 120GB HDD.
Can't the HDD bigger than 32GB use as Mater HDD.
I just only connect only one HDD (120G), I want to use it as the boot disk.
DO you know ohw to solve it.

Jackie - You mention the HDD partitioning was done on another machine.
Although I am unsure if this would be contributing to your problem, when transferring a drive from one machine to another, in particular when making it a boot drive on the new machine, I consider it good practise to backup everything up, wipe it clean and start from scratch.
If you have backed up everything on all partitions on this drive and are happy to do a clean install, the Windows XP setup should allow new to install a new instance of Windows on the drive, with partition management in the process. (If you are happy to delete everything on all partitions on the drive, you can actually delete each of the partitions, and then choose to setup on the unpartitioned space which will create a partition for you, format the drive, transfer boot files and install Windows all automatically).
I suspect your problem has something to do with the HDD boot which sounds to me like some form of software corruption or at least a software problem.

I picked up on one of your entries in this thread that software was installed when the drive was in another computer, and that the drive was then transferred to the computer that you want to use it on. I suspected this had something to do with the problem.
