This is an Ami bios and the MB it's M558 PcChips.I would like to know if there is a patched bios for support on HDD's with more than 8GB.I searched the tested bios page on rainbow's page but i was unable to find one.

The patch that we do is to fix a bug (or many bugs) in the Award BIOS Int 13h extensions code which handles HDDs up to 128GiB. This bug did not appear in the AMI BIOS. You could try:
1. Buying a Promise or Maxtor controller with its own BIOS on board. This should support HDDs bigger than 128GiB and faster transfer rates such as UDMA100.
2. Buying a replacement BIOS from Unicore.

What PCB version do you have? There may be a later BIOS at http://go.to/ajz/

Sorry but i do not know what PCB stands for.If you can tell me i am sure that i'll be able to tell you the PCB.
But isn't out there any award bios for this board and this chipset(VX Pro2) which supports the HDD's up to 128???

PCB = Printed Circuit Board = your Motherboard itself.
Most are stamped with a model and revision number some place...in the center, along the edge, etc...

the single series number or serial that i found it's 9746
It is located right near the power connectors on the backside of the MBand o n the last ISA slot it's this serial no. MM7B119512

The M558's were simply identified by the Super I/O chip they had. Read the BIOS RELEASE file here:
