Maxtor 40GB an Asus P/I P55TP4XE

I can`t get this combination to work probably. Have someone a patches bios, because at the 'auto detection of hdd' the bios hangs.

board: P/I P55TP4XE

bios: 12/30/97-82430FX-PI-5XTP4C-oo

Bios String: #401A0-0302

I hope someone can help

This version is currently in use by me and does not work with the ibm at full capacity.

I have recieved the bios, but it doesn't work

When the bios auto detection try to get the drive parameters, the bios hang.

I have to set the drive to slave mode, in master mode it doesn't work.
